Light
Prefers bright, indirect light indoors. Outdoors, grow in partial to heavy shade in a protected position. Avoid prolonged harsh afternoon sun.

Watering
Allow the top of the potting mix to dry slightly between waterings. Like most Hoyas, Hoya serpens appreciates a chunky, free-draining mix that won't stay wet for long.

Feeding
Feed with a quality liquid fertiliser or slow-release fertiliser during spring and summer while actively growing to encourage lush foliage and flowering.

Growing
Hoya serpens naturally grows as an epiphyte in humid forests, where it climbs and trails through tree branches. It looks fantastic cascading from hanging baskets and appreciates good airflow and moderate humidity.

Yes. Hoyas are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, although it's always best to discourage pets from chewing on any houseplant.
