The Details

• Botanical Name: Spathiphyllum sp.
• Common Name: Large Leaf Peace Lily
• Pot Size: 250mm Nursery Pot
• Plant Type: Tropical Evergreen / Indoor Foliage Plant

Light

Prefers bright, indirect light but adapts well to moderate and lower light conditions. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Brighter indirect light generally encourages stronger growth and better flowering.

Watering

Keep the potting mix lightly moist, allowing the top few centimetres to begin drying between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess moisture to drain away. Reduce watering during cooler months, but avoid letting the plant dry out completely for extended periods.

Feeding

Feed with a balanced liquid indoor plant fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer. Continue feeding throughout the cooler months at a reduced frequency, adjusting to the plant's growth and conditions.

Growing

A clumping tropical plant that produces large, arching leaves from its base, gradually developing into an impressive, leafy specimen.

Prefers warm temperatures, moderate to high humidity and a moisture-retentive but well-draining growing medium, such as our Minty Greenhouse Core Indoor Mix. Protect from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes.

Pet Friendly?

No. Peace Lilies contain calcium oxalate crystals and are toxic to cats and dogs if chewed or ingested. They can cause irritation to the mouth, drooling and vomiting. Keep out of reach of curious pets.

Good to Know

This Peace Lily has been supplied without a confirmed cultivar name, so we've listed it under the broader Spathiphyllum classification. Its standout feature is its beautifully large, deeply veined foliage.

Like other Peace Lilies, it may produce elegant white flower-like spathes under suitable conditions, although flowering is generally less frequent in lower light.
