Lepismium cruciforme is an incredible rainforest cactus with long, flattened stems, softly scalloped edges and beautiful pink-red margins that give it loads of character. Unlike desert cacti, Lepismium naturally grows high in rainforest tree canopies where it enjoys filtered light, fresh air and regular moisture. Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light indoors. Outdoors, position in around 50% shade. A little gentle morning sun is fine, but avoid prolonged harsh afternoon sun.

Watering
Keep the potting mix lightly moist throughout spring and summer. During winter, reduce watering slightly, allowing the mix to dry a little between waterings to encourage flowering and seasonal dormancy.

Feeding
Feed with a quality liquid fertiliser or slow-release fertiliser during spring and summer while actively growing.

Growing
Lepismium naturally grows attached to trees in tropical forests where it enjoys filtered light, fresh air and a free-draining growing medium. If stems become too long or untidy, they can be lightly pruned to encourage fresh new growth.

Pet Friendly?
Yes. Lepismium are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, although it's always best to discourage pets from chewing on any houseplant.
