Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light indoors. Outdoors, position in around 50% shade. Too much direct sun may cause the foliage to redden, while heavy shade can reduce flowering.

Watering
Keep the potting mix lightly moist during spring and summer while actively growing. Reduce watering over winter, allowing the mix to dry slightly between waterings to encourage flowering and seasonal dormancy.

Feeding
Feed with a quality liquid fertiliser or slow-release fertiliser during spring and summer when new growth begins.

Growing
Lepismium naturally grows attached to trees in tropical forests where it enjoys filtered light, regular moisture and excellent airflow. It prefers a free-draining potting mix and can be lightly pruned if it becomes too long or untidy, encouraging fresh new growth.

Yes. Lepismium are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, although it's always best to discourage pets from chewing on any houseplant.
