Good to Know

This is a ready-potted plant, meaning the Leslie Bird's Nest Fern has been planted directly into the Mini Oslo Planter rather than sitting inside a separate nursery pot. We've used our specially blended Tropical Mix to provide a balance of moisture retention, aeration and drainage, giving this little fern a great start in its new home.

The planter features a drainage hole and matching saucer, allowing excess water to escape after watering. Empty any collected water from the saucer to prevent the roots from sitting in moisture.

Leslie Bird's Nest Ferns produce new fronds from the centre of their rosette, gradually developing their distinctive rippled appearance as they unfurl. When watering, aim for the potting mix around the base rather than pouring water directly into the central crown, as trapped moisture can encourage rot. A little extra humidity and protection from drying draughts will help keep those beautiful fronds looking their best.

• We photograph all of our plants ourselves whenever possible, so the images shown are a true representation of what we have in store.
• As plants are living things, every plant is unique and natural variations in size, shape and fullness should be expected.
• The plant received may not be the exact plant pictured, but a healthy, thriving plant is hand-picked for every order.
