Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light indoors. Outdoors, position in around 50% shade. Too much direct sun can cause stems to redden, while heavy shade may reduce flowering.

Watering
Keep the potting mix lightly moist during spring and summer. Reduce watering over winter, allowing the mix to dry slightly between waterings to encourage flowering and seasonal dormancy.

Feeding
Feed with a quality liquid fertiliser or slow-release fertiliser throughout spring and summer while actively growing.

Growing
Rhipsalis naturally grows attached to trees in tropical forests rather than in soil. It prefers a free-draining potting mix, good airflow and regular moisture. If stems become too long or untidy, they can be lightly pruned to encourage fresh, bushier growth.

Yes. Rhipsalis are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, although it's always best to discourage pets from chewing on any houseplant.
